Our little X-man has been with us for one month already! He weighed in at a hefty 12lbs at his one month check-up. Almost out of size 1 diapers and wearing 0-3 months clothes although I don't think it'll be for much longer before he needs the next size. At three weeks old Xavier started smiling and trying to "coo" at people when they talk to him. He loves to be sang to as well.
Nursing is going extremely well so far. I haven't allowed finger sucking or pacifier-ing of any kind other than Mama's breast. Hopefully that'll help with longer milk production down the road. (For those who may not know I have had milk supply production problems around 4 months and have only breastfed one of my babies until 19 months. The rest were bottle fed from 6 months on) Xavier has been pretty good about nursing a few times at night too which I hope will help keep up the milk supply.
The siblings absolutely adore Xavier. They squabble over whose turn it is to hold him and always make sure he gets a bedtime kiss. I love how much they love him. :) I am really enjoying all the nursing and cuddle time with Xavier. I love seeing his eyes light up when he knows I'm near or hears me talking to him. This will never get old for me no matter how many babies I have. I just love the newborn stage and I can't imagine ever saying no to having more babies. :)
