Well here we are in the midst of a Florida summer! I did a VERY unusual thing this morning. Well, very unusual for me. I walked to the park with all the children. That in itself is not very unusual, but the fact that it is summer and this is Florida is what was unusual. I absolutely hate Florida summers and being outside in them unless I'm swimming. I hate the humidity, I hate the bugs and I hate the heat! But something in me made me get outside today and get some exercise and I'm very glad I did. If felt great to sweat and really the weather wasn't TOO bad this morning. There was a warm breeze in the shade which felt nice. And the funny thing is, that I think I will do it again. This was also my first outing with all six children solo and it went fantastically well. :) The three older boys biked, the two younger ones were in the stroller and the baby got to sweat it out with me in the moby wrap.

June was a very busy month with adjusting to the new baby and lots of visitors. It just flew by! My Mom flew home Saturday after her one month stay. :( We are sad she is gone but oh so thankful for all the help when she was here.
Xavier is one month old now and settling in very nicely with our rowdy family. We all adore him and he really is a great baby. I still have to type out my birth story before I forget all the nitty gritty details!

Starting this week we will be getting meals from friends which is so appreciated. It is so nice not to worry about what's for dinner while adjusting to being on our own with all the littles and the new baby.
As far as job searching goes, we are kind of in a state of limbo at the moment. Gabe graduated at the end of April and we still have no long-term plans for the future. The job search has not been nearly as easy as we had anticipated. Gabe has some summer work at the University re-writing some labs that need to be published and is also teaching a 5 week lab course. After that, we don't know what is going to happen. We know that God has a plan for us and we are hoping that it will be made clear very soon. Please keep us in your prayers.
Well, I'm off for now but will be back soon with posts of Xavier's birth story, baptism pictures, & happenings in June.
Mom's night out tonight! (dinner, not the movie) Then fireworks and 4th of July celebrations later this week! So much to look forward to! Whoo-hoo! :)
