Beach weekend Day 1

Last weekend we were able to do a two night "get away" to the coast.  I wish it could have been longer but we did enjoy the short time we had.  We stayed over in Daytona Beach at a beachfront motel.

We first went to the Angell & Phelps Chocolate factory hoping to get a tour.  For some reason the normal tour guide didn't show up so one of the guys working there gave a short tour.  It wasn't much but the children still enjoyed seeing the workers at the chocolate factory and of course the samples.  :)

We weren't able to check into our hotel until 2pm so we headed over to the Marine Science Center.  We made it inside right before a huge thunderstorm.  The children really enjoyed it there, especially petting the sting rays.

We headed out as the rain stopped to check into our hotel.  After a quick lunch and run to the grocery store, we changed into our suits and hit the beach and pool.  It was fabulous!

I headed back up to our hotel room to get dinner started and lay out pjs.  Our hotel had a small kitchen which was awesome.
