Yesterday we were dropping Gabe off at school (later than usual) and Aidan was so upset that Daddy had to go to school. Elias tried to calm him saying, "it's OK Aidan. Daddy needs to go to school and we still miss him when he's gone, but he'll come back."
This morning we were grocery shopping at Sam's club. An Asian man came up next to us and was talking to his wife in his language and Aidan started to imitate his talking, by making the same sounds. I'm so glad the man didn't notice.
When we were checking out at Sam's the cashier said to Aidan, "watch out for your hands baby". Aidan responded too quietly for her to hear "I'm not a baby, you're a baby!" He didn't mean it in a sassy way but didn't appreciate being called a baby when clearly he is 2 1/2 years old.
Oh these boys sure do give me plenty of things to laugh about!
