7 Quick Takes

-1-
Oh what to do today!  I have three loads of laundry to fold and put away and I'd like to vacuum, sweep and mop and tidy up the house a bit before the weekend.  I may take the boys swimming later.

-2-
It has been so smokey in Gainesville the past couple weeks.  Especially at night.  There aren't any fires terribly close, it's just the smoke blowing through the area.

-3-
I just purchased three books off amazon and I'm looking forward to them arriving tomorrow.  I really enjoy keeping up on my reading.  I am way ahead in book club reading and will be starting August's book, Saint Martha's Catholic Guide for Busy Moms by Tami Kiser.

Wednesday evening was our first meeting out of seven for a group study of Evangelium Vitae by Pope John Paul II.  There are about 10 families and we are meeting at a friend's house for a potluck and discussion while the kids are being babysat.  I am really looking forward to the coming weeks as we read through this encyclical letter and discuss.  It is great fellowship time as well with like minded couples.

Kieran has started to regress from his great sleeping habits at nap time and a bit at night as well.  Yesterday he only took a 40 min. nap and refused to go back to sleep.  He probably would have, if I would have held him but I really need my alone/quiet time.  At night he has been waking and usually after rubbing his back he will fall back asleep.  Maybe he is just going through separation anxiety or something of the like but I also have a feeling he needs much more cuddle time, especially since he is not nursing.  Hopefully things will get better rather than worse, and before the baby is here!

The beautiful flowers my hubby gave me for our anniversary are still so beautiful and alive in my vase!  I am pleasantly surprised because they usually don't last this long.  I guess it depends on the type of flower and these are roses and carnations and some pretty white ones which I don't know the name of.

Yesterday morning I attended a meeting for all the VBS volunteers.  I am excited about doing VBS for the first time this year.  We still have until the first week of August to prepare and I will be helping in the craft room.  I think Elias will really enjoy himself.  Aidan and Kieran will be in the nursery but they will still have some fun things going on for them too.
