This afternoon we headed over to Lake Wauburg for a few hours with one of Gabe's friends. It was 95 out but it wasn't too bad because there was a slight breeze close to the water. Students of UF get into the park for free and are also able to rent boats for free. Gabe took the boys out in a paddle boat and then the guys took the boys out for a canoe ride before I got to go for a kayak ride. The lake is pretty and supposedly there are lots of gators in there but we didn't see any. The boys got in the water but it looks so murky...I can't imagine swimming in it. There are also sailboats that can be rented out if one has taken and passed the sailing and swimming tests. Hopefully Gabe will be able to do that one of these days so we can all go out. The boys had a great time and we'll probably be visiting more often since we are only about 15 minutes away.
