A day late 7 Quick Takes

We are finally moved into our new house and we are loving it!  It's so quiet!  We are really enjoying not hearing any more dogs barking or noisy neighbors.  Aidan used to think the people walking in the apartment above us was thunder.  We still have lots to unpack and organize.  Thank you so much to all our wonderful friends who helped us move.  We are so blessed.

I am so annoyed with Verizon right now.  I was planning on getting a new phone (since Gabe has a free upgrade) but I just noticed the two phones I was choosing between require an extra $10 a month data package.  Are you kidding me?  It's such a joke and they are just trying to squeeze more money out of people!  My sister has one of these phones that she got a few months ago but I guess they just started putting the required data packages on some more phones.  Hm...I may start looking into other phone servers......

We are trying to decide what to do the rest of the afternoon.  It is already past 3:30.  I was thinking about going to Mass tonight.  We are still so tired from the moving and cleaning our old apartment and unpacking...I may feel quite groggy in the morning.

We have not been able to get any mail for the past 4 days and we will probably not be able to have access to our mail for another week.  We were given a mailbox key that does not work and we were told we have to pay $25 to have our box re-keyed and this may take up to 5 days.  *sigh*  My netflix movie has been sitting in there since Tuesday.  However, I'm not too excited for my ultrasound bill which may also be in there.

On a happy dance note, the most we may be required to pay from our deposit for the old apartment is $157.  I think our deposit was $600 (which we didn't even put down in the first place since we moved in when the special was that they would put down the deposit money).  But it's for the rug cleaning which we decided to have them do instead of finding our own rug cleaning company and some minor painting that may need to be done.

Right now we are enjoying a huge thunder storm out on our porch.  We have the windows open and there is a delightful cool breeze coming in.  It's so relaxing and fun and so nice just to be together as a family.

Melissa & Andrew are planning on coming to visit for a few days and will be here Tuesday.  I am excited to see them and we are hoping to visit some springs while they are here.  I am very thankful to have some family close by.  The boys will be excited to see them too.
