New Year's

New Year's Eve Gabe and I went on a double date with another couple to dinner.  The couple's 17 year old daughter baby-sat the kids and put them to bed.  It was nice to get out and have an adult conversation.  :)  New Year's Day we had a nice brunch before the 11 AM Mass.  Mass was such a great way to start out the new year!  After Mass Gabe went into work for a couple hours while some of the kiddos napped.  Then he came home and helped me make some yummy Swedish rice pudding and Swedish meatballs.  Actually he did most of the hard labor and I did all the dishes and took a nap.  :)  We were supposed to have dinner with some friends but they had to call it off due to illness.  We enjoyed our relaxing day at home and it was a perfect start to the new year!
