7 Quick Takes

1.
I received an email from my Dad that my grandmother passed away this morning.  She had been declining rapidly over the past few weeks but just contacted pneumonia a couple days ago.  Please take a moment to pray for the repose of her soul and keep my grandfather, Dad and Uncle in your prayers.  The funeral will be next Saturday so I am looking up plane tickets to fly out to Texas for that weekend.  Hopefully it'll all work out.

2.
On a happy note, I got a second ultrasound set up for January 23 at 3PM.  So excited to find out the gender of this baby.  Just wish I didn't have to wait two more whole weeks!

3.
Tomorrow we are hosting Kieran's 4th birthday party with a Diego/Jungle safari theme.  I had been cleaning the house this morning (until I received my Dad's email).  Still need to bake cupcakes today and do some more party prep and cleaning.  The boys are looking forward to having fun with their friends tomorrow.  There is an 80 percent chance of rain so that ruins my outdoor fun plans.  I'm going to have to come up with some indoor fun ideas.

4.
I spent all yesterday morning taking down our Christmas decor and tree.  I was so sad to see it all put away.  We had such a wonderful Advent and Christmas season this year and I didn't want it to end.  But now that it's all put away I'm ready to get back to normal and routine.  :)

5.
We did a small family celebration for Kieran's 4th birthday yesterday.  All day yesterday and this morning he kept coming up to me and saying, "Am I really four?"  It's so cute.

6.
Connor has been such a joy lately.  Since he's  gotten over his terrible time molar teething he's been back to his normal self.  He's such a happy little guy and just walks around the house smiling and playing with his older siblings.  He is such a cuddle bug too which I love.  We have been slowly weaning him off his bottle and he didn't have one yesterday so I guess you could say he's weaned!

7.
Plans for hubby's graduation in April are moving along quickly.  He has been busy working on his thesis which he has about three more weeks to complete.  It's going to be a bit stressful around here until that is done but when it is over, it'll be oh so nice!  Everything else job wise is still up in the air but for now I'm content and trusting that God has everything under control!
