2013 Recap

Since I didn't get to blog as much as I would have liked this year, I thought it might be a good idea to do a monthly recap of our 2013!  I'll try and stick in a few pictures from each month as well.

January
At the beginning of January we were finishing up an awesome visit with my family in Texas.  We made it home by epiphany and celebrated our own family Christmas.  Kieran celebrated his third birthday with a mickey mouse themed party.

February
Gabe took the four older children camping with our good friends the Pollards and Connor and I stayed home due to illness.  It was nice to have some relaxing and bonding time with 3 month old Connor.

March
Gabe's Mom and grandmother came for a two week visit at the beginning of March.  We went to downtown Disney, Ponce De Leon Springs, Clearwater beach, & Tarpon Springs.  The day Gabe's Mom & Grandma flew out, I left with the kids to meet my Mom, two sisters and brother in the Florida panhandle for a five day camping trip.  Gabe also celebrated his 26th birthday.  At the end of March, we were privileged to become godparents to our first godson Dominic!  We celebrated Easter here in Florida.

 April
We went camping on the east coast with our homeschool group.  It was awesome as always!

May
The boys participated in our homeschool science fair and did very well on their projects.  A couple weeks later, I caravaned with all the kids up to KY to visit our good friends the Kenneys.  Gabe was able to join us for the weekend and help with the drive back to FL.  It was so fun to visit with our friends and see that part of the country.

June
At the beginning of June Gabe and I celebrated our 6th wedding anniversary with a fondue dinner at The Melting Pot.  Later in the month we participated in VBS with our homeschool group at St. Madeline's Catholic Church.  The program was Cat Chat Amazing Angels & Super Saints.  Definitely a tiring, but rewarding week which resulted in us all coming down with a three week flu!  My mother in law was awesome and flew out from CA for a two week visit the day I called her to help us out.

July
My Mother-in-law was still visiting and here to help celebrate the 4th of July.  As always, it is so nice to have another pair of helping hands around the house.  We also started our new school year.

August
I took the kids down to visit friends in Tampa for four days.  My friend's hubby was out of town for a week so I wanted to help her out a bit although her Mom ended up being there the same time as well.  Our boys had a blast playing together.  I picked up my sister Catherine while we were in Tampa and she helped me drive out to Texas with all the kids.  We did the 15 hour drive in one day!  It was certainly exhausting but memorable.  We had a wonderful two week visit there and my Mom helped with the drive back and got to visit with us a few days in FL before flying home.  We also celebrated Elias's 6th birthday.

September
We found out we were expecting our 6th baby!  A week after celebrating Juliette's 2nd birthday, my in-laws and brother-in-law arrived for a visit.  We stayed at a wonderful resort in Orlando and they also treated us to four days at Disneyworld!

October
October started out with the celebration of Aidan's 5th birthday.  Our fall homeschool camping trip was the first weekend in October at Fort Clinch State Park on the east coast.  This was the largest gathering so far with a total of 60+!  I also began my church musician job again at St. Edward's Catholic Church in Starke.  We ended October with a wonderful homeschool All Saint's Day Party.

November
Our baby Connor turned 1!  Time sure flies the first year of a child's life.  I organized a homeschool family trip to Legoland which the boys really enjoyed.  We celebrated Thanksgiving at home with some friends and got our family Christmas picture taken.

December
I celebrated my 28th birthday.  We spent two days at Disneyworld and enjoyed a quiet and relaxing family Christmas at home in Florida.

We definitely had a full and blessed year and are excited to see what lies ahead for us in 2014!
