40+ weeks pregnant

So here I am at 40 weeks, 4 days pregnant.  Did I still think I would be pregnant this "late" after my due date?  Definitely not.  God is sure keeping me on my tippy toes.  The longest I have been pregnant was 40 weeks, 5 days and 1/2 hour into the 6th day pregnant and that was with Kieran, my 3rd.  I had a midwife check-up on Monday and everything is fine.  I will have to go into the hospital for a stress test for the baby on Saturday when I hit 41 weeks if baby hasn't shown up by then.

To celebrate being 40 weeks pregnant, I went out with my Mom and sister for some lunch, shopping and pedicures.  It was a nice and relaxing afternoon.  I found some really comfy pjs to wear for now and post baby that will be easy to nurse in.  Nothing like cute and comfy pjs to sport around after having a baby.  :)

My sister Mary has been here visiting a little over a week now.  The boys have loved having her around to play with and talk to.  My Mom arrived a week ago today.  It has been so nice to have both of them around to help out.  My brother arrives a week from today to visit and for the baptism so hopefully baby will be here soon!!!  Come on little guy!  We can't wait to meet you!

I have been feeling a little down of course.  It's so hard to wait and not know what's going to happen or when baby will make his appearance.  :(  I have read four out of the five books that I checked out of the library to read "post baby" and all of the cookies in the freezer have disappeared....  Lol.  I guess it's time to do some more baking.  I did put a couple more books on hold so hopefully I won't go through those as quickly as the first four.  I have been spending a lot of time doing a jigsaw puzzle and listening to podcasts, as well as playing games with the family, napping, and watching movies.

So continued prayers for baby to show up soon would be greatly appreciated as well as for a smooth delivery and healthy baby.  :)  I will keep you posted!
