Outside my window.... partly cloudy, breezy and 68 degrees! It's supposed to hit 80 today though! Yikes!
I am thinking... about Lent starting tomorrow
I am thankful... for a relaxing weekend with only Connor to care for :)
From the schoolroom... we discussed the 10 commandments today for religion. Elias is working on his subtraction and Aidan is learning to write numbers.
From the kitchen... I can smell bacon from our breakfast this morning. I need to think of a treat/snack to whip up for our meeting tonight. And we are having waffles for dinner to celebrate Shrove Tuesday! The boys are super excited. :)
I am creating... a gift for a friend who just had a baby
I am working on... teaching Juliette not to scream when she wants something
I am going... to send hubby to do some errands tonight
I am wondering... if we will make it to the 8:30 AM Mass tomorrow morning or we'll end up going at 5:30 tomorrow evening with Gabe.
I am hoping... that the St. Valentine book I ordered for the children will get here either tomorrow or Thursday. *crosses fingers*
I am praying.. to grow spiritually this Lent
I am reading... Just finished reading my last two issues of the Catholic Digest. Now on to the latest issue of the Soul Gardening journal
I am looking forward to... my mother-in-law's visit in three weeks. :) It is always nice to have a helping hand around the house and company while Gabe is at work. And of course the kids love her visits too!
Around the house... not too shabby. I need to clean the bathroom and tidy up a bit. I've been enjoying some beautiful tulips and daffodils from Trader Joes the past few days.
One of my favorite things... reading out loud to the children.
A few plans for the rest of my week... tonight small group meeting at my house. We are reading and discussing Mother Teresa's Nobel Peace prize lecture. Tomorrow Ash Wednesday Mass, & SHEAF homeschool meeting. Thursday small family Valentine's Day celebration and the weekend we are may try and do some yard work and spring cleaning if it's not too cold.
A peek into my day...
