Boston (pictures to follow)

We arrived safely in Boston yesterday morning around 9:30 AM. Our flight went really well and the children were well behaved. I have to say we really enjoyed flying Jetblue. The plane was clean, the staff was friendly and they don't charge for he first checked bag. After getting our luggage we took the bus to the rental car place. It is quite a process to get anywhere with our four suitcases, four car seats, four carry-ons and four children. Somehow we managed and get where we needed to be. The old ladies at the car rental place were so nice and just loved the children, especially Juliette. Sadly that did not help us get an extra discount. So we got in the car and our gps wasn't working because it was so cloudy.  Unfortunately we were not planning ahead because we had not printed out directions to the convention center.   Finally our gps started working and we were quite close to where we needed to be. After dropping off Gabe I drove out of town towards our friends house.  Elias, who had been up since 3:30 am, finally fell asleep. Gabe and I were running on three hours of sleep too.   I've noticed that since parenthood, I've gotten used to being OK with only a couple hours of sleep.  While hanging out at our friend's house it started to snow!  The boys were so excited.  We went back into the city around 3pm to pick up Gabe and meet up at a coffee shop with one of my friends that I went to school with in southern CA.  We had a great time catching up and we're hoping to get together again in NY this weekend as well.  Back to our friends for a quick dinner and bed time was early.  We were all so exhausted.  This morning we woke up to beautiful snow.  As the morning wore on, it started to warm up a bit and got pretty slushy.  We went to a great thrift store and I found some snow pants from the boys from $2-$5!  What a steal.  After a couple stops for nursing the babies and some snacks, we finally made it to the park to go sledding.  It had been snowing the entire morning but since it was so warm, it was more like sleet.  The kiddos had a great time, but got wet really fast because the snow was so yet.  The younger ones started to have melt-downs and much to the older kiddos dismay, we decided to pack up and head home for naps.  Warmed up by the fire place and played the rest of the day.  Then I went grocery shopping for taco stuff and dinner sure was yummy.  It continued to snow the whole day and really started to stick again around 6pm.  Now it looks like a beautiful winter wonderland outside.  I bet it will be so beautiful in the morning and I will try and snap some pictures.  Tomorrow Gabe is taking the train into Boston again in the morning and will be giving a short presentation on his research at the conference.  He will finish up by 12pm, and we're going to head down to NY!  The boys are so excited to see Teta.  I hear it's not as cold down there - no snow, just rain.  We had so much fun up here experiencing a couple days of "real winter".  The boys loved it!  When they saw the snow they said, "is it Winter now?"  Haha.  My poor winter deprived children.  Thanks so much to our wonderful friends the Drews for having us at their house.
