A day in the life

4:30 AM- Wake up when Gabe transfers Juliette back to her bed.

4:45 AM- Hubby can't sleep because of back pain and gets up to try guest bed.  I can't sleep either so scroll through catholic homeschool mom's facebook page

5:00 AM - Hubby comes back to bed and I give him a back rub.....

5:45 AM - We are very awake by now so we have a snack of brownies and milk

5:55 AM - I try to decide if I should go back to sleep or stay up.  Hubby starts talking to me about planting carrots and onions

6:00 AM - Decide to stay up and say morning prayers

6:15 AM - Dcroll through my email and read a few of the many news article emails my Dad sends on a daily basis.  Aidan climbs into bed with us.

6:30 AM- Doze back off to sleep and keeping waking up off and on to more kids climbing into our bed

7:30 AM - Get up and shower and make bed

7:45 AM - Come out to kitchen to find oranges cut, a Dutch baby pancake in the oven and freshly made espresso.  I love my hubby <3

8:00 AM - Dress Juliette and Connor

Connor looking at the bird out the window

8:10 AM - Quickly go over hymns and responsorial for mass on Sunday and email choir lady the hymn numbers

8:15 AM - Sit down to breakfast with the family

8:40 AM - Put breakfast dishes in dishwasher

8:45 AM - Family morning prayer before hubby heads to work

9:00 AM - Start school with the boys

9:45 AM - Go into bathroom to wipe Juliette and find a good size wooden block mostly submerged in a full toilet.  Grit my teeth, try not to throw up and plunge my hand in to grab the block which immediately goes in garbage.  Note* this is not a normal occurrence

10:00 AM - Aidan finishes school

10:30 AM - Get up to change Connors poopy diaper.  End up just rinsing him off since it is one of those "crumby" poops that I don't want to deal with after two yesterday.  (Parents, you know what I'm talking about.)

10:55 AM - Start school with Kieran while Elias finishes up independent school work

We read about the Little Red Hen today and did a craft

11:55 AM - Finish school with Kieran and send kids to back yard while I take a few minutes for myself

12:25 PM - Make lunch.  Today it's tuna, crackers, apple slices, string cheese and egg salad for the one who doesn't like tuna.  Note to self * make three cans of tuna next time

1:00 PM - Put youngest three down for naps, and send older two out to school room for more independent school work

1:05 PM - Give Elias an end of the week spelling test

1:10 PM - Quiet time for self

1:30 PM - Set up Skype for boys to do phonics with Grandpa

1:35 PM - Finally get settled on couch for self time.  Only about 30 minutes left by my estimates.

2:00 PM - Elias comes inside to get help with his last math page and Kieran gets up from his "nap" which turned out more like quiet time for him today.  He usually will take a real nap about every other day.

2:25 PM - The babies are still sleeping!  What a surprise!  The most I usually get from Connor is an hour.

3:00 PM - Grab a snack, Catholic digest, and the boys, and head out front to ride bikes.

You would think it's fall around here with all the leaves that just fell off the trees.

3:20 PM - Juliette wakes up and joins us outside

4:00 pm - Back inside and say quick prayer for hubby's interview

4:15 PM - Sit down to play wii with the kids.  (Trying to get all our playing time in before Lent.)

5:00 PM - Quick chat with hubby about interview while he's on his way home and put the fish sticks in the oven.  Kids do quick pick up of house.

5:30 PM - Sit down for dinner

6:00 PM - Chat with hubby some more about interview and look up prospective jobs

6:30 PM - Read blogs while daddy plays with kids

6:45 PM - Take really cute video of the kiddos playing doggy with daddy

6:55 PM - Kids and daddy watch netflix while I try to doze on the couch.

7:45 PM -  Get up to finish dinner dishes.  Nap was not very successful with Connor getting up and down in my face every few minutes

7:50 PM - Send kids to put on pjs and brush teeth

8:15 PM - Night prayers and put kids to bed

8:25 PM -  Make hubby play wii with me.

9:15 PM - Type up this blog

9:30 PM - Realize in shock that tomorrow is March 1st!  Quickly change school calendar to the new month happy to find out I only need to add on a few more days from the February calendar set up.

9:40 PM - Help hubby job hunt

10:15 PM - Night prayers, reading and finally SLEEP!
