I have been having fun this afternoon looking up birthday party ideas for my children for the fall. I know it's still a ways away but it was still fun! I made a few private boards on pinterest with the ideas I found. Elias & Aidan will probably have a joint party again this year and they would like a Ninja Turtle party. Kieran's birthday is not until January and he wants a Go Diego Go party. Juliette's 2nd birthday is in September and I'm still trying to come up with a theme for her. I may use one of her favorite board books as a theme. The Very Hungry Caterpillar would be cute. And Connor's theme will probably just be "I'm 1" in November. :)

Well, we are finished with our school books for the year. The boys finished last week, but I started them each in one new workbook to keep us from getting bored. Elias is going to refresh his reading skills with The Little Angel Readers book A and Aidan has started on Get Set for the Code- book B. I'm still trying to decide on what curriculum I would like to use next year. I would like to decide soon so we can get started. I'm thinking about starting mid-summer so we don't go crazy indoors while it's burning hot out.

So we never did get to make that trip up to KY to visit our friends for Easter. :( Nursing troubles kept us home. However, I am hoping to follow my friend when she drives up to KY in May for a 10 day trip, stopping in SC to visit some of her friends on the way home. Am I crazy to think of doing this without my husband? Thankfully my friend has a wonderful 17 year old daughter who is planning to help me out with my kiddos during the drive. :p

Speaking of nursing, Connor and I are still having a rough time. He is up every hour at night to nurse but only for a short period of time. Needless to say, Gabe and I have not been getting much sleep. :/. I rented a hospital grade pump to help me with my milk supply. I think that got me over the hump but now I feel like we are having other problems....maybe a tongue tie. I'm trying to get something worked out so I can see a lactation consultant hopefully next week sometime. I desperately need my sleep back! If you could send up a quick prayer for me it would be greatly appreciated.

So I have been reading a lot of crazy things in the news lately and this article was abloslutely the craziest I have read in awhile. I'll let the article speak for itself.

I have been trying to make some plans and goals for the summer. I feel like it will pass by slowly since we don't have any trips planned and most of the summers in FL are spent indoors due to the extremely hot and humid weather. So far my summer plans and goals include learning to cook a new Lebanese dish once a week, exercising, losing weight, cataloging all our books, and having fun with my children. :) I'm sure there will be more added to that list once I have a chance to sit down and really think about it.

So yesterday when I was drying a load of towels I heard the dryer almost stop, then pick up to speed, almost stop, then pick up speed, repeat, repeat. I hurried to turn it off but I think it's dying. It's been making more noise than usual and we knew something was going on. It's not actually "our dryer". It came with the house but we are going to have to try and fix it or buy a new dryer. Ahhh! It's very old so there may not be parts out for it anymore. I'm hoping Gabe can take a look at it this weekend.
Well, that's all ya'll! Hopefully I'll be back next week with more blogging! Don't forget to head over to Jen to see more Quick Takes.
