Posting from the road on the way down to Tampa for the weekend.
1- Today was a long day! Gabe picked up our friend's three kids at six this morning because their mama was giving birth to our godson! We watched them until 6 this evening. The day went really well although it was a bit hectic at times. Thankfully my friend Maria stopped by with her daughter and they ended up staying most of the day and helping out. And Baby Dominic was born around 2:20 this afternoon.
2- my mother-in-law and her mom have been visiting now for a week and things have been a bit crazy and busy. They have been cooking up a storm! It's been so nice to have help with the kids, cooking, and dishes.
3- last night Gabe and I were able to go on a date! Thank you Mona for watching Connor! We had a great time- enjoyed dinner, yummy drinks and hookah. It was so nice to be "kid-less" for a few hours. My new favorite alcohol beverage is cider. I had such a yummy raspberry one last night. Can't wait to go back for another!
4- I have a crazy busy week coming up. We get back from Tampa on Sunday evening. Monday is Gabe's birthday and Tuesday I am headed to the panhandle with the five kids to go camping. I'm so excited to see my Mom and sisters and brother for a couple days. It's going to be fun as long as the weather warms up a bit and cooperates. :). Anyhow that means Monday I need to do laundry, shop for groceries and camping necessities, and pack so I can leave early Tuesday morning and make Gabe a birthday cake and prepare his favorite meals. Wheeeee! I hope it will all go smoothly.
5-the weather has been pretty chilly the past week- especially for March in Florida. It's been in the 30's at night and 60s during the day. Today however was beautiful!! Perfect outdoor weather for a bunch of kiddos! It sure helped pass the time to let them play outside.
6- we are looking forward to getting in some beach time this weekend! I can't remember the last time we were at the beach. Sun, waves, sand, ahhh......can't wait!
7- and yay I finally have my gym pass! Thing is, I always get sick right after I get it so I haven't been able to go yet. Boo. Hopefully when things slow down.
8- *bonus*. I just want to say things are going great with my milk supply and breast feeding. I took Connor in to the doctor yesterday because he has a bad cough. I wanted to make sure it isn't turning into anything serious. He is Ok, and I can see he is already feeling better today. But good thing is, Connor weighs 14lbs, 13 oz and the doctor said he looks great! Who-hoo! Now if we can just stay this way during the next two months then we should be over the hump.
