1.
Yesterday we went to the music store and rented Elias a little violin. It's an 1/8 size...so cute! He is very excited to learn and I'm looking forward to finally teaching my first child how to play! Hopefully I can keep his enthusiasm going! Aidan was so upset that he couldn't get a violin too, but I told him when he's 5 he can get one and for now I'll help him learn a little bit on Elias's violin. Special thanks to my Uncle Brad for sending some money so we could get Elias started!

Gabe set up the slip n'slide for the kiddos the other evening and they had a blast playing on it! We need to set it up more often for them! We had purchased a big pool but it uses up so much water so I think we'll be sticking to the slip n'slide. Juliette, my water baby especially had a load of fun!

Last night I had a dream that I had the baby on October 6th and it was a boy. He had all his teeth in already and they were sharp and pointy. I also had him in a church hall, and I was walking around with the umbilical cord dragging around on the ground. Yea......it was a weird dream!
4.
I've just gotten back into my cloth diapering with Juliette. I haven't used them since before our move so it's probably been a month and a half. Glad to be back into it again so we don't have to purchase as many diapers. Now, if only I can keep remembering that she needs more frequent changes.....

Yesterday morning we took the children to the park at 7:30 so they could run out some energy and we could escape the heat. After just 1/2 hour it really started to warm up but the kiddos still had fun.

I've been trying to figure out a place to meet my Mom and sisters next weekend. They would be driving from Dallas so I'm trying to find a good half way point where we could meet. The only thing that worries me, is they will be so jet lagged from just arriving back in the US from Europe. I guess we'll see if they are still up for making the trip.
7.
So I've officially decided that I am going to do a joint birthday party for Elias & Aidan. Elias's 5th birthday is in two weeks and Aidan's 4th birthday is October 2nd, so we're going to do it sometime in September. That way they can both have fun with their friends and I only have to plan and organize one party! Juliette's 1st birthday is also in the middle of September but I don't think we'll do anything too big for her.
Well, I'm off to clean the bathrooms because it's Friday and start getting our fish tacos ready for dinner! Have a great week everyone!

ReplyDeleteWhen you said "it's Friday so I have to clean the bathrooms", you gave me an idea. Can you post your cleaning schedule? I was able to keep my house cleaner when I worked...probably because we barely lived in it and I was in constant motion so more inclined to clean. I have managed to fit in the vacuuming, laundry, and kitchen cleaning, but the bathrooms are always neglected (probably because I hate cleaning bathrooms).

ReplyDeleteI don't have much of a cleaning schedule as of yet. We usually vacuum about twice a week. Monday I do all the laundry and get it folded. Tuesday I do sheets and towels and put away Monday's laundry. Fridays I clean bathrooms, every other Friday doing the tubs too. I haven't decided how often to dust....probably once a month or every two weeks and we sweep pretty much every day. When I get a better cleaning schedule finalized I'll post it!
