7 Quick Takes

I'm glad it's Friday.  I'm really tired right now and ready for a help with the boys the next two days.  I'm so thankful Gabe gets the weekends off.  I don't know what I'd do if he had to work.  I look forward to the weekend all week.

I finally booked a hotel for our anniversary trip.  I did it on hotwire and it was the hotel I was expecting it would be.  It's right on the beach so that will be nice.  The reviews are 50/50 so I hope it won't be too bad.  :)  I'm looking forward to our mini moon.

Last night we had a huge thunder/rain storm.  It was still muggy out when we went to bed but when we woke up this morning it was deliciously cool.  I haven't had to turn the air on at all today so that was nice.  I took the boys to the park for a bit too and it was nice to have the sun and the 70's weather.

I just took my first tum for heartburn for this pregnancy.  I'm sure there will be many more over the next few months.  I'm hoping for a smaller baby this time around, especially since it's a girl!

Last night I got together with a few other Moms and we went out to dinner.  It was nice to have some social time with other like-minded woman and to have a little break from the boys and chores.  Gabe fed the boys, put them to bed, cleaned up the kitchen, and made chicken for tonight!  Thank you hubby!

I would like to try and finish up the final decorating for the house since we've been here almost a year now.  Both bathrooms need to be done/finished and the boys room needs curtains.  The boys also need sheets and comforters for their bunk beds.  I also need to make a window seat cushion and pillows for our room.  And, I would like to do a bit more decorating outside.  We are looking for a statue of Mary to put by our front door.  Also, I'm still debating on whether or not to get bar stools for our kitchen counter......next year we also want to get a smaller TV and an entertainment center.

Kieran needs his first hair cut.  I love his curls and don't want to cut them off, but we have been getting, "is that a boy or girl." so I think it may be time....:(  I hope our girl will have all these lovely curls too.
