7 Quick Takes

-1-
This week has been nice and relaxing.  We are getting back into the hang of just being home and doing "homey" things.  It's nice to be back and I think the boys are happy too!  Now I need to get started on my spring cleaning!  Hopefully we can start tomorrow.  I really want to clean this house from top to bottom.  Now if I can only get motivated....

17 1/2 weeks along and feeling great!  If I don't eat in the morning then I start to feel a little nauseous.  I'm so excited to find out the gender of this little babe.  Hopefully we'll have that set up for 2 weeks time.  I really do feel this little one starting to move a lot and I love it.  I've only gained three pounds so far.  I know I'm going to start gaining more quickly and I would really love to get back to the gym next week.  (It still hasn't happened sigh)

I have so much music to prepare for the Easter Vigil and Easter Sunday Masses.  I don't know where to start.  I'm also trying to figure out what we will do on Easter Sunday.  We won't be able to get together with Melissa, Andrew or Ben because we're both stuck playing and singing for Masses!  I'll probably be pretty exhausted from playing/singing but I want to have a nice Easter brunch and then egg hunt with the boys and nice Easter dinner.  Maybe we'll try to get together with some friends.

I also need to start planning our Sedar Meal for Holy Thursday.  We always had a Passover meal growing up and it's something both Gabe and I would like to continue to do in our family.  We didn't have one last year so Gabe wants to be sure we do it this year.

I still would like to take the boys strawberry picking and then do some strawberry freezing and canning.  Maybe can some strawberry syrup as well.  I called the local strawberry farm to see how long they will be having u-pick.  If it doesn't get too hot, the strawberries should keep producing until mid May.  We'll have to go after Easter I guess!

This afternoon I want to try and go to the stations of the cross with the boys.  I've only gone once this Lent and that was up in WA with my family.  I'm hoping Gabe can meet me at the church so I can have a bit of help with the boys.  We would go tonight, but we have a meeting to attend.

Lately I have been so happy and thankful being a mother.  I just love having the opportunity to be a stay at home mom and spend time with my boys.  It is so much fun seeing them grow and learn and playing with them.  Kieran is in such a fun stage right now.  He is learning so much and talking and it's so cute to see!  His sleeping and weaning are going great.  Actually his weaning has been going on for  awhile now.  I just think he doesn't like the taste of my milk.  He only nurses (maybe 2 times a day/night) but as soon as my hind milk comes in he makes a face and sticks out his tongue and jumps off my lap.  He goes down for naps now without crying and last night when we put him to bed he cried only 5 minutes.  Gabe still runs in a few times a night to lay him back down when he wakes up, but he goes right back to sleep.  I am so thankful this process hasn't been that difficult for either of us.
