7 Quick Takes

-1-
I have really been enjoying spending time with my family.  Still have 11 days left of vacation!  I miss my hubby so much.  He is my other 1/2 and if it weren't for my family helping out so much with the boys, I don't know what I'd do. Sunday afternoon we are heading down to Grants Pass for a couple days to visit some family and we'll be staying with my Grandpa.  It will be nice to see them again especially since I don't know if we'll be attending the family reunion camping trip this year.

Catherine is on spring break this coming week and I'm so excited to have her home.  She has been so busy working and finishing up finals.  Christopher is on spring break now as well so hopefully we can spend a lot of fun family time together this week.  Catherine just loves little children and she is so sweet with the boys.  I know she'll make a great mother someday!

I am now 14 weeks pregnant.  I have started to feel the baby move a bit more when I'm just laying still and not moving about so much.  I am also getting my energy back which is nice.  I have still been so hungry which must be due to eating for 3!

Kieran has been chowing down non-stop since we got here!  He must be going through a growth spurt.  His new favorite food is yams which he loves getting from Uncle Chris.  Whenever he sees someone eating he rushes over and opens his mouth for a bite.  However, he is still nursing so much at night.  It's not the length of time he nurses, but the number of times he wakes up at night to find me that makes me think he is just looking for some comfort.  It is tiring and I still don't know when I will ween him and try to get him to sleep on his own.  Maybe a couple more months....hopefully.

For some reason I have a cough again.  I just got over my other cold so I'm not to happy to be getting sick again.  :(  There is a cold running around in the family so that may be why.  I hope whatever it is does not linger and passes quickly.  I definitely don't want to be sick going home.

The weather is so dreary here!  It is always cloudy and raining.  We have seen the sun only a couple of times since we arrived.  I don't mind it too much because we have so much sun in Florida, but I do feel bad for the people here.  Christopher is quite sad about the lack of sun and now I kind of wished we could have worked out a way for him to visit FL for a bit this month.  Come visit soon Uncle Chris!

Tomorrow is the feast day of St. Joseph and we usually make cream puffs.  I feel like we have been celebrating non-stop since we arrived with all the birthdays and feast days.  We are trying to keep our focus on Lent though and tonight we attended the stations of the cross at church and followed that with a soup supper.
