7 Quick Takes Friday!

-1-
This cold is still hanging on to me and the boys.  Gabe has been fine.  He is usually like that though.  He doesn't always get sick when we do.  Well we have a few more days to recover before heading to WA.

I have been cooking and baking up a storm these past couple of days.  I am going to freeze food for Gabe so he will have something to eat when he gets back.  So far I have made chicken broccoli and rice casserole, shrimp jambalaya, lasagna, a sausage and bell pepper dish, banana bread and chocolate chip cookies.  Today I am making blueberry muffins, chili and some kefta (Lebenese hamburgers).  That will hopefully last Gabe two weeks.

Yesterday we went to Old Navy to pick out some clothes for Gabe for his birthday.  When Gabe got home from work Elias excitedly exclaimed "Daddy, I got some clothes for your present to show you!".  Lol.  It was so cute and Gabe said to Elias, "shhhh don't tell me!"  We are going to give Daddy some gifts this weekend for a little early birthday celebration.

Next week I will be into my second trimester!  Other than feeling exhausted at the end of the day I've been fine.  I have not gained any weight yet and I haven't quite started to show.  I can still fit into my jeans.  I have a feeling that this belly is going to pop any minute though.  I'm afraid it's going to happen while I'm gone so I don't know what type of clothes to pack!  I'm sure I'll be showing by the end of March because I'll be 16 weeks then.

The weather has just been absolutely georgeous the past few days!  It has been cool and sunny and not quite 80 degrees!  Spring is everywhere!  I really want to plant some flowers and herbs, but I guess I'll have to wait until I get back from WA.  By then I bet it'll be MUCH warmer out and summer will be upon us Floridans.

Elias and Aidan play hard and they fight hard.  I have found sending them to their beds to read books after a fight does wonders.  They just sit and talk and play nicely.  It is a little refreshing for me too because they won't come out of their room until I say so.  Elias has been so cute and asking "how many more minutes until we go to Nana's house?"

This face, and this smile just MELT my heart!  Kieran is just the sweetest and cutest little guy!  He can always cheer me up when I'm having a rough day.
