Merry Christmas from the Dilanji Family

Merry Christmas from Florida!

2013 was a full and blessed year for the Dilanji family.  High points included a visit from Gabe’s family  who treated us to Disneyworld in September, homeschool camping trips on the east coast with 60+ attendees, a road trip to KY to see some dear friends, camping  in the Florida panhandle over spring break with Laura’s mother, sisters and brother,  and a trip to Dallas, Texas,  in August.

Unfortunately, Gabe was unable to accompany Laura and the children on many of the trips because he was hard at work at home.  Gabe, who will be graduating from the University of Florida at the end of April, is currently working on his thesis and applying for jobs.  Please keep him and all of us in your prayers as we start this next phase of our lives.

Laura keeps very busy homeschooling the boys, chasing the toddlers, and trying to keep up with all her other domestic duties.   After a year hiatus, Laura resumed her job as church pianist and vocalist at St. Edwards Catholic church in Starke.

Elias, age 6, and Aidan, age 5, are enrolled in the Seton Homestudy Program and are in 1st grade and kindergarten respectively.   Both boys also participated in the homeschool science fair this spring, vacation Bible school over the summer, and Blue Knights, a Catholic boys club where virtues and scripture are taught.  They enjoyed learning archery and are also excelling in their first year of piano lessons under Mom’s tutelage.

Kieran, who will be 4 in January, enjoys preschool, building with legos and playing outdoors.  He is looking forward to starting piano lessons after his fourth birthday.  Kieran also participated in the homeschool science fair and vacation Bible school with his big brothers.

Juliette is our bubbly 2 year old.  She enjoys playing dolls and dress up but can also stand her ground during a good wrestle or sword and shield fight with her brothers.  Juliette loves to sing and can often be heard singing “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star”.  One of her favorite activities is “mothering” her younger brother Connor.

Connor, who is now a pro-walker at age 1, is very outgoing and loving.  Much to everyone’s amusement he tries to keep up with and imitate his older brothers and sister.  Connor can chat up an unintelligible storm and loves a good cuddle.  It won’t be long until he is a big brother!

We are very blessed and excited to announce the arrival of Dilanji #6 at the end of May.  “The” ultrasound will take place a week before Christmas and on Christmas Eve the children will discover whether they are welcoming a brother or a sister.  Please pray for a safe and healthy pregnancy and delivery for Laura and the baby.  We will keep you posted.

God bless & Happy New Year!
Love, The Dilanji Family
