Outside my window.... cool and sunny but it's supposed to get to 72 today! BOO!
I am thinking... about everything that needs to be accomplished over the next few days.
I am thankful... for such a wonderful, sweet, and easy baby. I can just lay him down on the bed and he goes to sleep!! He nurses so well too and is a WONDERFUL sleeper! I have not lost any sleep over him whatsoever!
From the schoolroom... taking a "just had a baby" break until after Christmas!
From the kitchen... lovely snacky things from our new Trader Joes! I can not tell you how NICE it is to be able to shop there again! Gabe and I both felt refreshed after our first shopping trip there even though we had five kids in tow!
I am creating... a packing list!
I am working on... not nagging my hubby to do his chores. Any tips ladies to help him remember? :) It's not like he doesn't do anything around the house, it's just hard for him to remember which chores are his to be done. I guess that's not a bad thing so I shouldn't really be complaining right? :)
I am going... to change a dirty diaper here in a minute! phew!
I am wondering... Whether it'll be better to drive during the day or night with the children. I'm just worried that Gabe and I will be too tired to drive. Any thoughts? It's a 15 1/2 hour drive not including stops.....
I am hoping... that Juliette will recover from whatever she has. It may be a teething thing, but she's also coughing. Poor little thing is so miserable. :( Aidan's coughing too but it's not keeping him from running around like a crazy man. :)
I am praying... for all those affected by the tragic shooting in CT. Can I just say, some of the stories I've read and the interviews I've seen have just made me so so sad. :( I just can not imagine....
I am reading... a novel, Kristin Lavransdatter by Sigrid Undset. It is a big FAT book because it's three parts in one, so I'm hoping to get through a big chunk of it while we're on the road!
I am looking forward to... being with my family to celebrate Christmas! And catching up with my sister and brother who just returned from a semester in Rome.
Around the house... piles of clothes ready to be put in suitcases, a house decked out in Christmas decor and some pretty wrapped packages under the tree.
One of my favorite things... still loving the new baby cuddles and nursings I don't know what could be better than that!
A few plans for the rest of my week... yesterday was my six week post partum check-up. Today I'm making a meal for my neighbor who recently had a baby, tomorrow packing, Thursday night a dinner and gift exchange with friends and Friday we hit the road!
A peek into my day... someone is giving us his first smiles! Can't tell you how much I am in love with this little guy.
