Tomorrow Connor will be two weeks old. Two weeks old with a newborn means a lot of great things for me. No more sore nipples, no more engorged breasts, a more regular sleeping/nursing schedule, and dinner help from friends. However, hubby will be going back to his regular work schedule on Monday. This morning he went in to work from 9 to 12 and things went OK. I'll check back in Monday night or next weekend and let you all know how my first week with 5 kiddos 5 & under goes. :)

Right now Daddy has all the kids (minus baby Connor) and they are at the museum. He has been great about taking them out with him on errands, or outside to play so I can get a couple quiet hours with the baby. Tomorrow morning they are going to go to the little teaching zoo at the community college. I'm trying to decide if I want to join, or stay home and relax.....

I'm eager to get back to the gym and start working out, but I don't know when that should be. I guess it makes most sense to wait until after Christmas and get a pass for the spring semester. Maybe before I get back to the gym, I'll start taking walks with the kids. I do still have my awesome double stroller that has had a long hiatus since we moved to our new house. The park is a short walk away, but it's so big and I'm a little nervous about how I'm going to handle Juliette & Connor. We shall see....

I've been loving our "fall" weather. The past two days it has been cloudy and cool....low 70's and high 60's and in the 50's at night. I think it's going to stay like that for the next week or so. I do know the sun will be coming out too, but the temperatures will remain the same. It's great!

So this Thanksgiving will be our first without family! The past few years we've either been with my sister and her hubby, or at my Uncle & Aunt's in Sarasota. This year my Aunt will be out of town so we'll be staying home which I guess is best considering we do have a brand new baby. :) We will be celebrating with another family which will be nice. Just keeping it small and simple.

We have been enjoying some produce from our garden! So far snow peas, and lettuce and a few cherry tomatoes. We are still waiting for our carrots and green onions to mature as well as our red pepper plant and larger tomatoes. Gabe loves his little garden and does a great job tending to it. One less thing for me to worry about! I just get to enjoy the fruits of his hard labors. :)

Got to enjoy a special care package from my friend in KY today. Thanks Lorrie! It was great and brightened my day. :) Miss you guys and praying for the sickness to clear out of your family soon!

So every night I hear an owl hooting. Sometimes it's close, sometimes far, but never out of ear shot. One morning it sounded so close I could have sworn it was in our backyard but I couldn't see it! Some evening or early morning, I really would like to go owl hunting and get a glimpse of him and snap some pictures.

Tomorrow I am resolved to get myself to confession! I know I will not be able to get through the coming week(s) without some extra graces! Maybe Connor and I will hit mass and then the confessional in the morning. :)

I wrote a "to-do" list of things I'd like to accomplish before the end of the November. You would have thought I wouldn't still be in the "nesting" stage but somehow, I still feel like I am. Some things on the list are: cleaning out closets, planning and purchasing Christmas gifts, putting away fall decor and getting out the Advent stuff, making some phone calls, making Christmas plans, taking a Christmas picture, & getting Juliette's one year photos taken.
Well, I'm outa here! Happy weekend to all!
Aw, Gabe is so good. :) So nice that he likes doing the gardening. At least he should be able to keep the knat population under control! :P
