7 Quick Takes

-1-
I am sick.  :(  I don't know how this came on or really what it is.  I woke up yesterday with a tight chest and a cough and this morning my voice was gone.  I'm so tired too.  Elias & Aidan have clear runny noses.  It may be a cold, it may be allergies.  There are a lot of pollens out now.  I have been drinking water, vitamin C and honey lemon tea all day.  Hopefully this little bug will move on out very soon.

Yesterday evening we got to see our little one and hear its heart beat for the first time!  It is only 4 cm long but was moving like crazy.  Gabe got a gut feeling that it will be another boy but we shall see.  Such a cute little thing moving all around!  I was thinking today I will not be disappointed if it's another boy.  As long as it's a healthy baby I will be happy!

It's official!  We will all be going back to WA for a visit in less than 2 weeks!  I'm so excited!  Gabe is going to fly up with me and stay March 8-14.  I won't be coming back until the 30th and will be attempting that flight by myself with all three boys!  It's going to be great to be with my family again and I'm so excited for the boys to see their grandparents and uncle and aunts.  We will be celebrating Gabe's birthday, my Mom's birthday and one of my sister's birthdays while we are up there so that will be fun.  Yay for family and vacations!  I hope to go visit some relatives in southern OR as well.

My first midwife appointment will be Tuesday, March 1st.  I'm really excited.  The midwives will be coming to our house which will be so nice.  I won't have to worry about packing up all the boys and taking them to an appointment.  Gabe will also be here which will be nice.  When we get back from our vacation I will be 16 weeks along and we'll be able to find out the sex of the baby probably sometime in April!

My husband is so wonderful.  He stayed home until 11:30 this morning and took care of the boys while I slept in.  He also went grocery shopping and got the clam chowder going in the crockpot.  I am so very blessed to have such a hands on hubby.  I know he will be a saint.  He never complains but just does what needs to get done.  Thank you honey!

It is starting to get really warm here.  It's in the low 80's all ready!  I'll be looking forward to some cooler weather in WA!  I'm not ready for summer quite yet.  We are going to try and take the boys sledding up at Mount Hood if there's still snow so that should be fun.  I did turn on the air today for a short while just to cool the house down.

I just ordered some books and a movie on St. Patrick for the boys.  I'm going to try and start ordering material for different feast days slowly so we can start our saint collection.  I learned so much about the saints growing up (thanks to my  Dad) and I would love for my boys to know the same!
