7 Quick Takes

-1-
Still trying to finish up the packing for our trip!  I have everything pretty much together except for the food.  We are going to try and leave at 3.  I'm so excited and I know the boys will have a great time.  The weather is quite nippy but it will be nice for camping.  I can't wait to sit by the campfire and roast marshmellows!

I went to the gym EVERY morning this week!  I guess it was rather a big accomplishment.  I really enjoy it and hopefully these lbs will start to come off.  Now, if only I can stick to eating relatively healthy.  Having all this leftover candy around from Halloween is not doing me any good...*sigh*

I found a new favorite time to go grocery shopping.  Publix opens at 7 and I was there at 7:15 .  It was early enough where there were only a few customers and I didn't have to take the boys!  It was so nice and I definitely plan on doing that in the future.

We bought two cameras at Walmart yesterday to try out and we don't really like either.  It kinda stinks.....we don't want to spend too much money because I'm sure the camera will get dropped and have to be replaced sooner rather than later.  Gabe has been doing lots of research and we still haven't settled on one.  However we are willing to spend up to $500 if it would be worth it.  Suggestions anyone?

Last night our Why Catholic group started meeting again.  We have six sessions until we finish with this book.  I really like our small group and it is so nice to be able to leave the children to play in the nursery this time with a babysitter.  Last semester we sat with our kids in the nursery and it was quite distracting.  My "homework" for this week is to read the scriptures daily and pray.  That reminds me....I better go do it!

Thanksgiving is fast approaching and we are looking forward to going down south to spend it with Melissa, Andrew & Ben.  Gabe has off Tuesday-Sunday but he may go into the lab.  We are hoping to head down there Wednesday afternoon and stay until Sunday.  I am looking forward to a yummy turkey dinner, games and movies and hopefully some beach time too!

I just finished reading the book Praying with the Saints for the Holy Souls in Purgatory by Susan Tassone and I really enjoyed it.  It is a nice short read and very educational and I would definitely recommend it.  I hadn't realized before how important it is to pray for all the souls in purgatory so that their time there will be limited.  I told Gabe if anything happens to me, I want him to pray constantly for my soul and have many masses offered in my name.  I have started making it a habit to pray for the souls in purgatory every time I pass a graveyard and hopefully when they get to heaven, they will remember to pray for me too.
