Simple Daybook

FOR TODAY September 14, 2010

Outside my window… sunny and hot!
I am thinking… that Kieran is just the cutest baby in the world!  He held out his arms to me the other day and said "ma ma"  My heart melted.
I am thankful for… my neighbor and friend who watched the boys this morning while I went grocery shopping.  It was so nice to shop in peace & quiet!  We are going to switch off every Tuesday watching each other's kids for a few hours so the mamas can get stuff done without little ones running around.
From the kitchen…two dirty pans that have had eggs cooked in them that need to be washed.
I am wearing… jean shorts and a black shirt
I am creating… rice crispy treats with coco puffs in the shape of crosses to celebrate the feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross.  On this day we honor the Holy Cross and the fact that "the event of the cross and Resurrection abides and draws everything toward life" (CCC 1085)
I am going…down south next week with the boys to visit Melissa for a few days!  We are going to take the boys to the zoo and the beach.  Its going to be fun!
I am reading… God’s Choice by George Weigel and The Vaccine Book by Robert Sears (haven't been reading much these days)
I am hoping… I can stick to my diet for the next two weeks.  ahhhh
I am hearing… Kieran talking to me
Around the house… I finally was able to get our room looking pretty decent.  I feel like I've been so behind on everything lately.
One of my favorite things… kisses and hugs from my boys
A few plans for the rest of the week: tomorrow a little party at the park to celebrate Our Lady of Sorrows.  Friday is Young Marrieds night and Saturday morning is Elias's 2nd soccer practice.
Here is picture I thought of sharing…. photo courtesy of Elias
