7 Quick Takes

-1-
We had the boys pictures taken today at JC Penny.  We went in mostly to have Kieran's 1 year pictures taken.  I have all the boys '1 year pictures hanging on the wall.  The photographer got some cute shots of him.  Aidan was so camera shy and even burst into tears once because he wanted "daddy to sit next to me".  Poor little guy.  We did get one cute close up of them all together though.  I was glad to cross that "to do" off my check list!

I got a quick nap this afternoon thanks to my wonderful hubby.  I have been tired lately and a tiny bit nauseous.  Just enough to be uncomfortable.  When I woke up from my nap, my hubby was just leaving to take the boys to the park.  I thought I might want some quiet time, but here I am sitting alone and missing them like crazy!

Gabe and I have not had much sleep the past couple of weeks.  Elias wakes up often and comes in our room.  He either needs to go to the bathroom, or just wants to make sure we're still here.  Kieran is still waking up about 6 x a night to nurse.  Needless to say we have been quite exhausted and are looking forward to a night of uninterrupted sleep.  Who knows when that will be?  However, we would definitely not pass up being parents just for this minor inconvenience.  I look at my three precious little guys every day and am so thankful for them.  They are so cute and I love them so much!

I have a feeling this baby is going to be a girl.  I had a dream it was a girl.  And according to charting ect. it may well be possible!  We are trying to decide if we want to keep it a surprise or do an ultrasound to find out the sex.  See, normally Gabe says "let's not find out" but this time he is leaning more towards finding out so it is making it more difficult for me to say "no, let's wait!"  I guess we have time to decide on that one!  :)

We finally got a guy to come tune our piano last week!  It does need a second tuning however as well as some maintenance work.  We just need to decide if we can afford the maintenance work right now.  Supposedly, if we get it done now we won't need to do it for another 10-15 years.  I am just happy to have an "in-tune" piano again.  Well, almost completely "in tune."

I have a three mama baby shower that I am planning for Feb. 12.  I have so much to do, but it's going to be fun once I start getting more planning under way.  One of the mamas has already had her baby girl, another is expecting a girl, and the third should have her surprise baby any day now.  I need to plan food, shower games, favors and decorating!  Any ideas?

We have just started attending  a little church in a town about a 35 minute drive east of Gainesville.  We really enjoy the priests masses and homilys.  The parishioners kneel down for communion and the priest is very orthodox.  They are sorely in need of a musician/singer and I have offered my services.  I am a little (well a lot) stressed out about it and my piano playing skills are not up to par.  I'm going to have to figure something out.  I have been playing a chord in the left hand for every measure and then the melody with my right hand for the hymns, as well as trying to sing the lyrics.  I am praying I will be able to do this!  My first Sunday is going to be the first weekend in February and I am already nervous.  *sigh*  Hopefully everything will work out OK.
